Sara Snow paced back and forth, her heels clicking against the dean’s mahogany floor. “She can’t do this. She obviously has some personal problem with me and she’s not being objective.”

The dean stood behind Sara and rubbed her shoulders. “Don’t fret, angel. I will talk to her first thing in the morning. You’re doing at great job for the school. We both know that and no one gets fired unless I say so. I have the final decision on that so what are you worried about?”

“Harold, all these evaluations go into my permanent record and can’t be erased. I’ve never been rated anything below excellent in my entire career. What is Jones’s problem? What have I done to her? I’ve never done anything to anyone.”

The dean gave up on trying to calm her and took a seat on the couch. “I don’t know what her problem is, but I’m going to find out. I have a meeting with her and Principal McGuire in the morning.”

Sara wrinkled her nose at the way the dean had referred to his son so formally. “How are you and Presley?”

The dean grabbed his glass of scotch from where it rested on a coaster on the coffee table. “We’re the way we usually are, I guess. We haven’t spoken much, but that’s not usual.”

Sara sat beside him on the couch and rubbed his knee. “He and Marcia are still going hot and heavy I suppose. He hasn’t spoken much to me either since our break up.”

The dean narrowed his eyes at her. “Why so much concern for Presley? I’m sure he’s not sitting around talking about us.”

Sara wasn’t sure about that. She noticed the way Presley stole glances at her during the school day. He still had feelings for her though he would never admit it. Still, Sara knew that she needed to make Harold feel secure. She had to let him know that she never thought of his son anymore. He needed that.

She straddled him and kissed the side of his neck. He loved that spot on the left side. Sara worked it with her tongue as the dean pushed her skirt up around her thighs. He cupped his hand gently around her chin. “When I say you have nothing to worry about, I mean that. You have nothing to worry about.”

Sara loved the way he made her feel safe. When she was with him, she felt as if nothing bad could happen to her. If anything ever went wrong, he would take care of it. All the thoughts she had about Jones canning her went away as she focused all her attention on Dean McGuire.

She unbuckled his pants and lowered the zipper as he sucked on her earlobe. Her clit throbbed as she reached into his boxer briefs, releasing his monster cock. Harold was even bigger than Presley.

She got on her knees, taking it into her mouth. Forming in “O” with her perfect pink lips, she moved her mouth up and down, pushing the cock as far into her mouth as she could without gagging. The dean squirmed in pleasure moaning her name.

She sucked the stiff penis until the dean was about to come and then she stopped right before he did. Sara was about to straddle him again when the dean pulled a surprise move. He flipped her over onto the couch. Next he pulled her panties to the side and then slid himself inside of her. Sara screamed as the massive rock of a dick entered her. It took her a few seconds to gather her senses. She dug her fingers into the couch as the dean fucked her—moving in and out quickly. She couldn’t help but call out as the two of them moved against each other and she moved closer and closer to orgasm. Finally, when she was about to come, everything with black and stars formed in front of her eyes. She was soaking wet as the dean finally pulled out of her. He lay on top of her as the two struggled to catch their breath. The dean was good. There hadn’t been an encounter she’d had with him that wasn’t amazing. Slowly but surely, Sara was falling for the dean and she hoped he felt the same way about her.

  Chapter 4

Principal McGuire sat in the dean’s office the following morning at his father’s request. While the dean had a conversation with his receptionist, Presley sat, wringing his hands wondering what he had done wrong now. As far as he knew everything had been running smoothly at McGuire Prep and in his personal life, so he had no idea what the dean needed to speak to him about.

Finally, the dean came in and closed the door behind him. He offered Presley a cup of coffee which Presley accepted and then took a seat behind his desk. The man frowned as he ran his fingers through his hair.

“Dad, is everything okay?” Presley asked. His father looked genuinely worried and he rarely let anything get to him like that.

“I’m fine, fine. There is one concern I have though. Ms. Jones and her evaluations.”

Presley understood but he didn’t know what that had to do with him or why Jones wasn’t there too. “I know. She’s way harsh. Overly harsh. I tried to get her to lighten up but we both know she doesn’t listen to me. What do you expect me to do? You hired the uptight witch.”

“Presley!” the dean snapped. “I understand that she is harsh and I really don’t have a problem with that. We need to keep our standards high around here. We need to keep these teachers on their toes. The problem I have is a little bit different. It involves Sara.”

Presley’s throat tightened. “Sara? What about Sara?”

“For some reason Jones is giving her an especially hard time. Harder than everyone else. She’s even threatening to fire her.”

Presley said nothing and let his father continue talking. “You and I both know that Sara is doing a phenomenal job around here so whatever problems Jones has with her, I suspect, is totally personal and we don’t work like that.”

Principal McGuire smirked at his father. “Dad, do you really not know why Jones has a problem with Sara?”

  The dean shook his head.

“Wow, it’s true what women say. We really are oblivious.”

The dean sighed impatiently. “Presley, just get to the point, please.”

Presley saw that he was going to have to spell things out for his father because he had missed the first one million clues. “Jones has a mad crush on you. She has since the day you hired her. The woman is hopelessly in love with you.”

The dean’s cheeks turned a rosy red. “Presley, this is serious.”

  “I am being serious.”

The dean leaned back in his chair. “I don’t think so. I think Jones looks up to me as her superior and maybe even admires me, but I don’t think she has any other feelings for me. Where are you even getting this from?”

“I have eyes, Dad. I see the way she looks at you. The way her eyes always travel over your body. How she practically hangs on your every word. The woman wants you.”

This time the dean chuckled. He couldn’t help himself. “So, if this is true, then that’s the reason why she’s giving Sara a hard time?”

Presley nodded. “Bingo. There’s no fury like a jealous woman.”

“SO what am I supposed to do?” the dean asked.

Presley’s eyes darted around the office. “Nothing. This is a very delicate situation and it must be handled just so. I can’t stand Jones, but I don’t want her to get her feelings hurt. Let me talk with her.”

The dean nodded because he hadn’t but looking forward to having that conversation with her. “Presley, we both know you can be an asshole. Be nice to her and go about this situation the right way. I mean that.”

Presley gave his father a captain’s salute. “Ayi, Captain. Don’t worry. Communicating with the opposite sex is my forte. I’ll talk to her right now and straighten all this up.”

The dean didn’t look too sure but then that was always the way he looked when Presley told him not to worry about something.

Presley found Ms. Jones in her office making a phone call. He plopped himself down in a chair in front of her desk and waited for her to finish. Once she hung up, she sighed and rolled her eyes at him. “That was Mrs. Chan. Her boys were caught trying to skip class today. When are they going to learn that there’s no way to get away with ditching at this school and why are twins always trouble? I swear, every set of twins who comes through here are pains in the ass.”

  Presl
ey thought about it and realized she was right. “Yeah, they are. Anyway, you and I need to talk.”

Her face dropped. She had actually been more pleasant to Presley than usual, but he had a feeling that was about to change. “Talk about what?”

He took a deep breath and thought about the best way to approach the delicate situation. “We need to talk about Ms. Snow.”

Jones pursed her lips. “What about her?”

“Well, it seems as though you’re giving her an especially hard time for no reason. She’s doing a good job here and it seems as if you’re letting your personal issues with her get in the way.”

Jones folded her arms across her chest. “Are you kidding me? I think you’re the one with the personal issues. What issues would I have with her?”

Presley didn’t want to go there, but clearly she was leaving him no choice. “Ms. Jones, I know and you know that you have a thing for my father. I don’t blame you. Us McGuire men just have that thing. Anyway, I think that since he and Sara started dating, you might be jealous and taking it out on her.”

Jones scoffed. “That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. I’m a grown woman, Presley McGuire. Not some girl in junior high. When I come here, I am a strict professional and I leave all my feelings at the door.”

Neither one of them believed what she was saying. “Listen,” Presley said, “it really doesn’t matter. You need to lay off Sara and treat her the same way you treat the other employees. Threatening her and being a bully is just going to land you in trouble. She’s doing her job well.”

Jones stood and paced behind her desk. “Presley, why her?”

  “Huh?”

“What does she have that I don’t?”

Presley had no idea how to answer that question without smashing her feelings and that was the last thing he wanted to do.

Sara was perfect in his eyes. Her hair, her skin, her figure. Jones wouldn’t be so bad either if she fixed herself up and wore clothes that showed off her body a little more. The foundation of a hot woman was there. It was just buried beneath old-lady pant suits that were two sizes too big.

Presley took a deep breath. “Jones, you are a very attractive woman but I think you keep your assets hidden.”

Jones cleared her throat. “That’s because I’m a professional. I’m not going to trot around her like Ms. Fox. She looks like she about to give us all a lap dance. I need to be taken seriously by the students and the parents. I don’t come here to impress anyone with my looks.” Jones lowered herself into her seat as she realized what she’d said.

Presley sat back in his seat. “See, you just need to find a happy medium. Marcia might be a bit much, but look at Sara and some of the other teachers. They manage to look professional and hot at the same time. It’s okay to put on a little makeup and jazz up your wardrobe. It might even make you feel better about yourself. Sara always said that when she looked good she felt good.”

Jones made a face. “Sara just knows everything doesn’t she?”

Presley smiled that gorgeous smile of his. “Jealously is so unattractive on a woman. Instead of hating on Sara, why not work on yourself. Jones, I’m sorry, but she’s not going anywhere.”

Jones thought for a moment. “Why don’t the two of us work together.”

Presley’s muscles tensed. He never thought he’d hear Jones utter those words and they sounded like a bad idea. “Work together how?”

“It’s no secret anymore, I guess. I want the dean and as much as you won’t admit it, you want Sara. If we break them up or get rid of Little Miss Perfect, we can both win.”

Presley stood and smoothed out his pants. “I do not want Sara back and I happen to be very happy with Marcia,” he lied. “Anyways, I have a meeting with a parent. Lay off Sara, all right.”

Jones gave him a creepy smile. She had no intention of doing that at all. Sara Snow couldn’t have everything. She had to lose something. It was either going to be the dean or her job.

That evening Presley was relaxing in his man cave with his best friends Ava Gardner and Harrison Murphy. Ava taught art appreciation at McGuire Prep. She and Presley had been best friends since college. Harrison taught algebra and was one of the teachers on Jone’s hit list.

Harrison was sprawled across the couch with a glass of gin in his hand. “What I’d like to know is why am I on Jones’ hit list when I’m a damn good teacher and my best friend is the fucking principal.”

Presley sighed. He was tired of having to play referee between Jones and the other teachers. “You don’t have to worry, Harrison. Just keep doing what you’re doing. Jones has no authority to fire you without my or my father’s permission so relax. We have a bigger issue anyway.”

  “Yeah, what’s that?” Ava asked.

Presley bit his problem lip. “Sara.”

Harrison groaned. “You’ve got to be fucking kidding me, man. When are you going to get over this woman? You’re dating fucking sexy ass Marcia Fox and you’re still worried about Sara?”

Presley narrowed his eyes at Harrison. He was sick of his friend judging him for his feelings. He had no idea what it felt like to be in love and he definitely had no idea what it felt like to be in love with Sara Snow. “It’s not like that. It’s about Jones and Sara. You know Jones has a thing for my dad. That’s why she’s gunning so hard to get rid of Sara. I think as long as Sara is with my father, Jones is going to make her life miserable. Sara’s doing a great job at McGuire Prep. It’s really not fair. Also, she wants to break them up.”

Harrison placed his empty glass on the bar counter. “Man, do you hear yourself? This sounds like a problem that involves Jones and Sara. What the fuck does that have to do with you?”

Ava stood from where she’d been stretching. “Harrison, shut up. He’s the principal. This is totally his business. He can’t let his employees be treated unfairly. What Jones is doing is wrong. She can’t bring her personal feelings for Dean McGuire into this.” Then she looked Presley in the eye. “Presley, you need to put an end to this.”

Presley wilted. Ava was one of the few people whose thoughts he actually cared about. She had been his best friend for almost fifteen years and she saw the good in him. Presley didn’t ever want her to stop looking at him in that light.

Harrison scoffed. As usual, his point of view was the exact opposite of Ava’s. “Fuck that. You owe Sara Snow nothing. That vampire ripped your heart out, punted it fifty yards, and then stomped on it in her Jimmy Choo stilettos.” He placed his hands on Presley’s shoulders and squeezed. “Man, did you cheat on her?”

Presley shook his head. “You know I didn’t.”

“No, you didn’t but she claims you did all because of that stupid friend of hers. She took her friend’s word over yours when you did nothing but treat that woman like a queen when you were together.”

Harrison was right about that. Presley hadn’t always been faithful to every girlfriend he had, but he had been faithful to Sara. He would have done anything for her and he had just known that they would get married and spend the rest of their lives as Mr. and Mrs. Presley McGuire. Sara had broken up with him and smashed that dream when he had done nothing wrong. Even to that day she didn’t believe him.

Harrison continued. “Not only did she break your heart and crush your balls, she started working at your school, making you have to see her everyday rather you want to or not. That’s just cruel after what she did to you. She hurts you and then makes you have to be around her all day every day.”

Presley took a few deep breaths trying to swallow his anger. It had been Dean McGuire’s idea to hire Sara. His father had probably known what he was doing the whole time. It had probably always been his idea to hire Sara and eventually get into her pants. He had probably been thinking of Sara that way even when she had been dating Presley. He knew his father loved him, but he certainly wasn’t above doing something like that.

Harrison wasn’t done. He really didn’t like Sara. “Then not only tha
t, she actually starts dating your father right in front of your face, man. Who does that? Do you know how many men would be humiliated if their girlfriends dropped them and fucking started dating their dads? I know I would be. And she’s doing that right in your face. I’m sorry, she might act as if she’s sweet as cotton candy, but she’s a stone cold bitch.”

“Harrison!” Ava squawked from the couch. She hated when men called women names like that.

“Sorry, A, but if the shoe fits . . .”

“So what am I supposed to do?” Presley asked his friends.

Ava was about to speak, but Harrison cut her off. “As much as I hate Jones, right now, you should be thanking her. She’s doing you a favor. Let her give Sara a hard time. She deserves it. Let her break up her and the dean. They shouldn’t even be together. I wouldn’t mind of Jones hooked up with your dad. I think we all know that woman needs a good lay. It would be good for all of us.”

Both his friends made good points but Presley blocked them out as they argued with each other. Just this once, he was actually going to take Harrison’s advice. He was going to let Jones make Sara’s life miserable and attempt to break up her and the dean.

  Chapter 5

Saturday night rolled around and Marcia still hadn’t told Presley what the big surprise was. All she’d said was to dress comfortably and have an open mind. Presley liked trying new things so he wasn’t too nervous about whatever was about to happen. He sat in the passenger seat as Marcia drove them about an hour and a half away.

Finally, they arrived at a dark barely-lit building. The parking lot was full of cars but there was no clue as to what the place was. Marcia pulled her car into one of the few parking spaces left. For the first time, Presley felt uneasy. The place reminded him of a creepy place that was shown in every horror movie.

  “Where are we?”

Marcia smirked sexily as she turned the car off. “You’ll see in a minute. Trust me when I say this place is going to blow your mind, Presley McGuire.”
